Cozy Maine Lakeside Family Cottage
A cozy summer cottage on David Pond in an idyllic spot for camp fires, board games, swimming, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. Perfect for reconnecting with family and friends. The space Our cottage has everything but your food and clothes! Expect to have sunrise breakfasts on our screened-in porch. Enjoy a cookout by the grill and picnic table for lunch after a swim and canoe ride around the lake. A new float just off the dock is a quick swim away. You can drink water from the tap - no need to bring your own! CHECK OUT is at 10:00 am. Time is needed after you leave to prepare the property for the next guest. Thank you. QUIET HOURS – Please respect the rights of others. No loud music, shouting, yelling is allowed from 10pm to 8am. HEATING SYSTEM - The camp is heated using baseboard heaters. The thermostats are in the dining room and kitchen. These are not to be set higher than 70 during the day and 60 at night. TRASH - Separate your garbage. Clean all glass, tin and plastic and put in one container for recycling. Put cardboard in another, regular trash by itself and returnable bottles and cans in another. Please take all trash to the bins in the small shed near the driveway entrance and secure the door tightly. BOATS AND WATERFRONT – Safety is of the greatest concern. You may access the water in front of the camp for swimming, canoeing and kayaking. Unfortunately, do to the rules of the association, guests may not use the private boat launch. You are welcome to use your own canoes and kayaks and may carry them down to the shore or use the common lot to launch them. Any boats that are stored at the shore are done so at owner’s risk. You are required by state law to wear life vests. Please take time to familiarize yourself with the State of Maine’s floating and fishing laws found online at the state of Maine government website. PLEASE RESPECT OUR HOME AND OUR NEIGHBORS. NO: SMOKING - Please do not smoke inside. Leave the premises. FIREWORKS – Fireworks are legal in some Maine towns, however, not allowed at this property. CAMPFIRES – You may have a small campfire in the prepared fire pit near the waterfront. Ensure that the fire is fully extinguished before leaving the site. KAYAKS, CANOES –You are permitted to use the kayaks and canoe located on the premises. LEAD TACKLE – Do not use lead tackle when fishing. Lead causes fatal poisoning to our water birds such as loons.
