This is a new unit, upstairs from our existing home, which you can view by searching our other listing. This 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom space is new construction. This tropical paradise is new, fully furnished and stocked with all the essentials. You will have plenty of space to spread out and enjoy yourselves, or congregate in the living room for a movie night. We've spent a long time building this house into our perfect island getaway, and when we're not here we want you to be able to enjoy this clean, beautiful, new home. Since this is our personal home, the kitchen is fully stocked with equipment because we like to cook while here. You will be able to cook or bake whatever you may want while here, and find the pots, pans, and utensils required already in the cabinets. We also keep a selection of spices on hand, so you don't need to buy a whole container of salt or garlic powder for a few days' stay. There is a nespresso machine in the kitchen, and we try to provide a selection of pods for your stay. If you are coming for a longer period of time, or expect to want to enjoy multiple coffees per day, you may want to bring some of your own to supplement what we can provide. If you're a coffee lover and know you will want to enjoy more than we may provide, you can either bring some 'original' nespresso pods from home to use in the machine. The primary bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a walk in shower. It has a queen sized bed, wall-mounted TV, ceiling fan, and full length mirror. The other two bedrooms share a bathroom which also has a walk-in shower. One bedroom has a full sized bed and the other has two twins and also has a desk if you need a workspace. All the bedrooms have a clothing bar and a few shelves for keeping your clothes. There are air conditioners in the bedrooms, but we don’t find them necessary in the rest of the house. The breeze carries through the home beautifully since it’s on the upper floor, and we try to conserve energy whenever possible and use ceiling fans most of the time. Since this is our personal home we have tailored these preferences to ourselves but want you to be aware of this if you will be staying here. We kindly ask you to be conscious of the amount of time you run the air conditioners and always turn them off when you leave the room as resources on this beautiful island of ours are so precious. The house is located in a residential neighborhood in the parish of St Philip. A car is recommended to get around, although there are public transportation options around and some people prefer to have a taxi on call to bring them around from this home base. We are located 10 minutes from the airport, and about 5 minutes from a major grocery store. There are a few fantastic restaurants nearby so you don’t need to leave the neighborhood every day. Guest access This is an apartment located on the second floor of a two family house. You have access to a private covered balcony off the front of the unit. There is a mango tree that bears fruit at certain times of year (late spring/early summer) in the back yard that you can eat off the tree. There is an outdoor shower at the back of the house and a BBQ grill that you can use as well, which are both shared with the downstairs apartment. The laundry room is downstairs and shared with the downstairs unit. Other things to note Please note, laundry is available and 2 loads of washing per week is included (we do not necessarily provide laundry detergent so feel free to bring or buy laundry pods). If you will need access to excessive laundry there will be an extra fee, as energy and water are extremely expensive on island.
