The space Entering through the front door you will find the living room, dining room, two bedrooms with queen size beds, and the cozy kitchen. In the kitchen you will find stairs that lead up to a little attic room with two twin beds. The stairs are historically accurate to old farm homes; steep, sloped, and narrow. The Farmhouse cottage is a perfect getaway opportunity to unwind, relax, and remind you of simpler times. It is located in Logan county (the best damn county in the country) and is 7 miles from Russellville, KY, with convenient shopping and restaurants, 20 miles from Bowling Green, KY, the home of Western Kentucky University, the Bowling Green Hot Rods minor league baseball team, the Corvette museum and many great restaurants, and 15 miles from Franklin, KY. Within a 5 minute walk is a country store owned by a Mennonite family with absolutely the best home cooked foods that you can imagine….jams, salsas, pies, sandwiches and dinners. For guests traveling north to Louisville or Lexington (approx. 2.5 hours away), the famous Kentucky Bourbon trail starts 75 miles from the Farmhouse cottage and winds north. For guests travelling South to the home of country music, Nashville is a mere one hour away. Come visit Southern Kentucky….you won’t regret it! Guest access We will leave the door unlocked and the lights, heat/air on for your arrival. A key will be left by the front door for your use. We have the basics - dish ware, kitchen utensils - pots/ pans , operating satellite TV. We will always be available 24hrs if ever needed for questions. Other things to note This is a great spot for a rural getaway and is secluded!! Our home is rustic and very “bohemian style”, which means it’s not going to be right for everyone but you can see in our reviews almost every guest loves our farmhouse. Please note that WiFi does not exist in our area however cell phone data can be used to send and receive emails, texts, etc The Farmhouse Cottage is in the countryside so there are animals living on the property. Our yard is mowed each Friday morning around 9am so you might hear the lawn mower. This is a perfect start for a trip to The Bourbon Trail.
