Rangeley Maine Bald Mountain Retreat

Our sweet cabin is just a walk to the nearest public boat dock and the fine dining and drinks offered by the Bald Mountain Camps Resort. Kick back in the hammock, go for a hike, canoe around the lake, or grab a drink across the street or in town for the ultimate relaxing experience! Experience a throwback to a slower pace of life. Without running water, our camp DOES HAVE: -ELECTRICITY -clean composting outhouse -heat -camping sun shower -sink for washing dishes with 5 gallon jugs to fill and an electric water dispenser -knives, cutting boards, pans/pots -fire pit (you will need to purchase your own wood) -gas grill -outdoor chairs and tables stored in the garage -Hammock -Canoe, paddles, life jackets, and canoe dolly We are available by phone but will not be at the cabin. -15 minutes from the town of Rangeley which offers a variety of restaurants, gift shops, C-plane tours, a large grocery store, laundromat, boat rentals, mountain bike rentals, public beach and park, Rangeley State Park -5 minutes from Ocquossoc center which includes a grocery/general store, farm fresh market, restaurants, public bathrooms, sporting goods store with canoe rentals -1/4 mile from the public boat launch -less than 1/2 mile from Bald Mountain hiking trails with great views -Mooselookmeguntic Lake is on one side and Rangeley Lake on the other -Fishing streams nearby as well as rivers to tube/canoe down -3 minute walk to the Bald Mountain Camps which offers fine dining, drinks, a beautiful view of the lake and motorboat rentals -short drive to many local hiking trails and ATV trails -Appalachian Trail nearby The cabin is not ON the water. It is across the street from Mooselookmeguntic Lake. There are plenty of local boat launches to put your canoe in and checking out my guidebook will share some of these. There is a public beach in the town of Rangeley (15 minutes away) and there are loads of swim spots along the Kennebago River and around the lake edge which can be accessed by canoe or if you rent a boat.
