Our cabin provides a perfect solo space to decompress while being surrounded by nature, peace and quiet. The newly built custom ultra clean glam-rustic space has good Internet, electric heat, cooking hot plate, microwave, fridge and glacier drinking water. We are close to amazing hiking, skiing/snow-showing and backpacking terrain. Listing open to clean, minimalist and respectful guests only. Please DO take the time to read the FULL listing description prior to booking. The space We are located at 9,250 ft of elevation, five minutes away from the amazing Indian Peaks Wilderness Area, a segment of the Rocky Mountains. We are located 40 minutes away from Rocky Mountain National Park and 25 minutes away from Eldora Ski Resort. You will be driving on the gorgeous Peak to Peak Scenic Highway to either of these destinations. We have beautiful hiking terrain and world class route biking. Please note that our cabin was designed with a ONE person occupancy in mind. It is very small and tight for couples. Please do not book the space for one person if you know that you are coming as a couple. If you are planning to visit as a couple, we very much appreciate if you make the reservation for two people. We meet all of our guests in person. Please think of our listing as a Colorado hut/tree house. Instead of having to ski multiple miles in, you can hike/walk 200 ft and reach our very secluded one acre location. The building is brand new. We are offering the space to eco-conscious, responsible and clean guests. This setup is in the glam-rustic category. Please have that in mind. This means the space has no indoor plumbing, no regular flushing toilet or a regular shower. It has abundant water that we bring by hand to serve your basic cooking needs. Unlike bottled water, our water truly comes from a real glacier off the Indian Peaks Wilderness. It has no chlorine or fluoride. We provide enough water for cooking, doing dishes and basic hygiene. The space uses a very clean outdoor toilet just like those found at national parks or remote artic locations. If you are looking for a space to indulge in alcohol and drugs, please book your accommodation elsewhere. The same is true if you are looking for a space to indulge in video games. Our space is not designed for this activity. If you are a tobacco smoker, please book your accommodation elsewhere. The space is ideal for the clean, minimalist, pack light type of individual looking to explore our wilderness and relax in nature. The cabin has a 200 sq ft total area (main floor plus a loft that has a full size bed) in addition to a 60 sq ft deck. The cabin is open to clean, mindful, minimalist and respectful guests only. This means you are capable of leaving the space as found. If this is not who you are by nature, we very much appreciate if you could please book your accommodation elsewhere. The space provides for peaceful solo time to relax, read, write, journal or whatever else you do to decompress. It is located in a beautiful pine forest away from everything. We have good internet signal should you require to be online. In order to get in the cabin, you will need to climb 30 steps to reach the deck. In the summer months only (June - October), the cabin has access via a narrow curvy 900 ft or so 4WD road. Please note that upon arrival, the parking space will be very small/tight. You will need to be OK driving in a small turn around space. You can also park in an open area located 200 ft or so away from the cabin if you are not comfortable with a small turn around area. Please know that given our rural nature we pay per GB of Internet use. If you are looking for a location to play video games, be on ZOOM calls all day or binge watch shows on high definition, our location won't work for your needs. Most of our guests work remotely. Our Internet is perfectly capable of handling all regular remote working tasks. Playing video games and watching non stop high definition movies is unfortunately not possible. The space has a very small kitchen that uses a single burner electric stove. It is unfortunately not designed for super elaborate gourmet meals. It also has a 2,000 watt electric heater kept at 60F. Given the remote/hidden nature of the space, on your arrival day you will need to meet us in person so that we can walk with you and show you the space. If your goal is to check-in after dark hours without meeting anyone prior, our listing won't fit your needs. The space is very safe as we do pay attention to the cabin. Our house is located 400 ft or so away from it. Please bring warm clothing. We live at high altitude and our weather patterns change frequently. We, the hosts, are avid outdoor people who live in the main house located 500 ft away. We know the area extremely well. Should you require guidance or just advice as to the best hikes/terrain, we are happy to help you out. If you are here with the intention to be left alone, that is exactly what we designed the space for. Absolutely NO tobacco smoking inside or outside the premises is allowed to keep the atmosphere neutral for all. If you use cannabis, you are welcome to do so outside on the deck. We very much appreciate the no perfume use of any kind in the premises. Perfume smell is extremely difficult to remove from the linens. In the spirit of keeping the atmosphere neutral for everyone, we very much appreciate it if you could please help us by not using perfume/fragrances during your stay. Please note that our reservation policy is strict. If you decide to change your plans during your reservation, we will not be processing any refunds. Please familiarize yourself with Airbnb's strict reservation policy. Access: Please know that the cabin is serviced by a narrow curvy 4*4 road that is approximately 600 yards long. Though we drive the road in a Corolla, not everyone is comfortable driving the road on 2WD cars. The parking spot by the cabin is narrow and small. It requires multiple turns to turn around your vehicle. If you are not comfortable with this, you will need to park about 300 yards from the space and walk the road. Winter Additional Information (From Mid/End of November through the End of May) Please note that in the winter, you will need to hike up a trail 200 ft or so in order to reach the cabin. Please plan on packing light. We get a lot of snow in the winter. When visiting us, it is 100% your responsibility to come prepared for high altitude conditions and check the weather frequently. It is also 100% your responsibility to make sure that you have the right type of transportation/type of vehicle/type of tires designed for Colorado winter conditions. We are happy to answer any questions you might have. You need to have the ability to hike with your belongings 200 ft up via a hiking trail. If you don't come prepared for winter, please don't ask us for a refund. We will not issue any refunds just because you are not prepared for our conditions. Thank you so much for taking the time to read our listing description in full. Other things to note If you are looking for a space to indulge in alcohol and drugs, our space won't work for your needs. Please note that our cabin was designed with a ONE person occupancy in mind. It is very small and tight for couples. Please do not book the space for one person if you know that you are coming as a couple. We are extremely strict about our occupancy limits. We do pay attention to the cabin despite its remote nature. As such, if you are planning to visit as a couple, we very much appreciate if you make the reservation for two people. If you are looking for a space to play video games, our space won't work for your needs. We have basic internet for email, music and other simple tasks. Our space is not designed to use tons of gigabytes per day. We live in a pretty rural area. Please note that the kitchen has pots and pans, salt and pepper. You are responsible to bring along whatever you need to cook your meals. Given the lack of regular plumbing, the space is not designed to plan super elaborate gourmet meals. The space uses a single hot plate useful for basic cooking. Please note that tobacco smoking is absolutely NOT allowed anywhere in the property. Please smoke cannabis outside the studio. The space was built with a one person occupancy in mind. It is 200 sq ft plus a sleeping loft that has a full size bed on it as the pictures show. Our space was designed with mindful, clean and organized people in mind. Given the limited water availability, we are offering the space to mindful people who understand how to be clean and low impact. If that is not who you are by nature, we very much appreciate if you can book your accommodation elsewhere. Given that we built our space with our own two hands, we take pride in our offering. Consequently, we are looking for people who can take care of the space during their stay. Please know that just as in the rest of the US & Canada, you might experience a power outage during your stay. It is happening all around the world. As such, please understand that power outages are outside our control. They are rare but they do occur. We will not be issuing a refund even if a power outage occurs during your stay.
