The space "Waving at trains is as American as the umbrella is English." --Lucius Beebe. We have dozens of trains you can wave at every day! CSX crews passing our back yard often wave back, as many of them are familiar with the fact that The FALLSTON FLAGSTOP Railfan B&B is a place where people love trains. We are Railfans and model railroaders--both lifelong hobbies. Our spacious roofed Porch offers an outsanding view of the CSX Pittsburgh Subdivision in our back yard as well as the Norfolk Southern mainlines directly across the neighboring Beaver River. Your Guest Bedroom offers the same view, and is furnished with two custom-made 'college twin' platform beds. There is a comfortable 'overstuffed' easy chair and a convenient work table in front of the large window overlooking the railroads and the Beaver River Valley below. Bright LED lighting provides plenty of illumination for reading and 'paperwork.' Guest access Our Railfan Guests may utilize the entire back side of the house where the trains pass. This includes your Guest Bedroom and adjoining Full Bath [tub and shower] as well as the kitchen [where laundry facilities are available], and our spacious roofed Porch. The 'kitchen door' is your 24-hour access to the home. Parking is right in our roomy driveway where you can even turn your car around to 'head out' if you wish. Other things to note We are located 25 miles NW of Pittsburgh with easy access to the PA Turnpike and I-376. We're across the Beaver River from PA Rts. 18/65, and directly off PA Rt. 51, and about a dozen miles fron the PA/OH State Line, where PA 51 becomes OH Rt. 14 to Cleveland. Thus access to Pittsburgh's countless attractions is relatively close with only minimal hassle from Pittsburgh traffic. Greater Pittsburgh International Airport is an easy 25-minute drive on nearby I-376. Pittsburgh Amtrak is right downtown.
