East Lake Park is a designated Opportunity Zone for the city and many homes are undergoing extensive renovations and/or need to be renovated. Green Tea and The LakeHouse are the two nicest homes located in front of this public park. The neighborhood is culturally diverse and home to an eclectic mix of neighbors. It is safe and quiet with lots of families and children. If your stay requires an elegant neighborhood, perhaps you should look elsewhere. We are rebuilding this one and it will take time. Upstairs guests have a separate designated entrance at the rear, and there is driveway space for all. Guest access The entire home and yard are available for your use and located in front of East Lake Park. Primary parking is the front right-side of the driveway where you will enter by the front door. Rear parking is for the upstairs unit. Back lower deck is for Green Tea guests, as is the home's front porch. The yards are available for all guest to enjoy. There is additional day parking in the lot across the street. Other things to note Green Tea is next door to The LakeHouse, another property of ours, on the corner of the 5-acre lake which gives the East Lake neighborhood its name. They are the first of four of our homes located in front of the lake. East Lake Park is a 100-acre city park surrounding a 45-acre lake in the East Lake neighborhood, developed in 1886 to attract residents moving to work in Birmingham's steel industry. This park was once famous for its Ferris wheel, a shooting gallery, swimming, boating, water skiing, baseball, golf, a zoo, concerts and other entertainment. Today, East Lake Park is one of the largest municipal recreational facilities in Alabama. East Lake Park also has a public swimming pool, tennis courts, football and baseball fields and playgrounds. This family friendly neighborhood is culturally diverse and in the throes of revitalization.
