Our sweet cottage sets the stage for a true Vermont experience. Beckoning the adventurous spirit from near and far. Wake up to an epic view of the Green Mountains and go to sleep under an amazing starry sky. The cottage is perched on top of our 120 acre mountain property with sweeping views and gorgeous sunsets. It's located about 100 yards from the main house. This quiet place is outfitted with basic electricity, a mini-fridge, stove, propane lights, sink and a wood stove. There is not a traditional bathroom. There is a clean outhouse and an outdoor shower for your use. The main floor has a couch, coffee table and small dining area for two. CLIMB THE LADDER to the loft with a king bed. Enjoy all hours of the day from two porches! Enjoy your morning coffee on the sunny front porch - and a sunset cocktail on the back deck overlooking the stunning Mountain View. You have your own hammock and spacious yard right off the back deck. It's perfect for sunbathing, chucking a frisbee or yard games. Our firepit can also be made available for bonfires. The cottage only sleeps 2 comfortably but additional guests are welcome to pitch a tent **Additional fee applies per person. Linens and towels, toiletries, outdoor shower in summer, outhouse. We will likely be on property in the main house during your stay and here to help you make the most of your trip. We also rent our Main House for larger groups on a limited basis. Located at the top of our mountain, at the end of a 4th class road. 10 minutes from the town of Northfield. Our road is gravel and bumpy - cars with good clearance recommended. Nearby Ski areas are Sugarbush & Mad River Glen are a 30 minute drive. Downtown Montpelier is 25 minutes. Surrounded by 120 acres of Vermont woods and views. Ample parking and trails to explore. Please note that this is a completely off-grid, seasonal cabin (May- Oct). It does not have indoor plumbing. It does have lights, a fairly well-equipped kitchen with a sink, refrigerator, propane stove and outdoor grill. No oven. It's most appealing to those who love the peace and solitude of the outdoors. AT&T and Verizon are providers with consistent service to our area but it can be spotty at times. Limited wifi at this time. Please note, we like to have contact with prospective guests before accepting a reservation.
