The space The Walnut Street Penthouse is a studio condominium on the top floor of The Kirkwood building in downtown Des Moines. The building has been beautifully restored and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. You’ll be in walking distance to the Civic Center, Wells Fargo Arena, Principal Park, and loads of wonderful Des Moines restaurants, bars, and shopping. Many of these can be reached via the skyway which is connected to our building. Our condo features a gorgeous (and recently updated) kitchen ready with all the basics for any cooking you might do, including of course a Keurig coffee maker for your use. The living room space between the kitchen and sleeping area is set up with a modern yet cozy sectional. You can watch your favorite shows on the Roku or unwind with some great music on the vintage turn table. The king sized bed will provide a great nights sleep. You'll find the freshest of linens only, along with plush bath towels and two luxurious robes as well. If you're visiting for work, or just need a place to get set up and be productive, there is a "cloffice" for your use (closet + office). You'll have your own reserved parking space in the attached parking garage and you are welcome to use the sauna and gym onsite as well. Guest access The building is very sell secured, privacy and safety measures are included at several locked access points. Secured parking onsite in a covered ramp, connected to the building via a secured walkway. The building and elevators are secured with a code or key access as well. Get wherever you are going via the skywalk directly off the lobby of the building. Other things to note We love good dogs! Up to two well behaved dogs will be allowed to stay for a fee of $75. Dogs over 50 lbs need pre-approval.
