As you wade into the water, the bottom is mostly sandy with some pebbles, unlike many properties in the area that have a muddy bottom. We have yard games, board games, books, a paddle boat, a large TV, internet, and a blue-ray player so you have lots of entertainment at the house. The sandy shoreline is perfect for wading in during the summer months, and the lake is perfect for year round fishing, including ice fishing in the winter There are also many snowmobile trails in the area If you want to bring your dog with you that is past potty training and chewing stages, you must pick up after your dog, and there is a $40 pet fee. The house is located just 2 blocks away from the public small boat launch. There are 14 bars and supper clubs around the lake and over 10,000 acres of water to enjoy. The activities are abundant in the area such as golf, a pool, parks, farm tours, bowling, the drive-in theater, wine tastings, or stock car races. There are also activities in the city of Madison, Milwaukee, and Wisconsin Dells to discover. The local townships around the lake, as well as both Dane and Jefferson counties, now require that the host has the name and address of the guest booking the property. This home is just over 2 hours to the Chicago area, or about 20 minutes to Madison, Janesville or Fort Atkinson, so you won't spend much of your precious vacation time driving. The Anchor Inn is nearby to rent a boat if you don't bring one.
