Oak Park's a beautiful and diverse community with many ethnic restaurants, neighborhood shops, a movie theater and lots of wonderful experiences to be had including tours of Historic Frank Lloyd Wright properties. While you're visiting try my favorite restaurant and bar, Maya Del Sol Coming from O'hare the blue line train connects to the greenline, which stops one block from our home. The train home always says Harlem, Austin Boulevard is the first stop in Oak Park and Harlem is the last. The trip to downtown Chicago is about 25mins, depending on the time of day. We live on the East side of Oak Park, which then extends north, south and west for those who enjoy walking and running. Request parking in advance Our lovely old home is over a hundred years old and the stairs squeak adding to its charm.... Street parking across the street is free. Weekends are free all day from 6 pm CST Friday to 7 am Monday morning. Parking is not permitted during rush hour Monday - Friday 7 am to 9 am and 4 pm to 6 pm.
