The space Unique and spacious cabin in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains surrounded by 18 acres of mountain views and privacy, right between Woodstock & Phoenicia. On site of a former "health farm," the home was built in 1969 and for years doubled as a stone sculpture studio. A creative space and home lovingly cared for, now on airbnb while we are away for some time. Bathed in natural sunlight with windows bringing the mountain views in. A stones throw to Woodstock and Phoenicia, Wilson State Park with its lovely trails and boat rentals in the summer, Emerson Resort and Spa and both Hunter and Belleayre Ski Areas. The perfect, central location to access all the Hudson Valley and Catskills have to offer. Plus: we love hosting. @themountainwonder Guest access You will have access to the entire home, as well as everything outside: Yard, firepit, wood-fired hot-tub, wood-fired sauna, deck with picnic tables and lounge chairs, yoga/stargazing platforms, a river, hiking trails, and 18 acres to explore. Other things to note We've set this place up with a bunch of amenities that we have loved using and sharing with friends. These amenities require patience but are unbeatable once going strong. To help make sure our guests are able to make the most of them, we provide very clear instructions, and all the materials needed, and can also help you get started if you like. For good results it is very important to get started with the amenities early ~ especially the hot tub, as it is all natural, wood burning and takes time to heat up. Also, we have a plowing service when it snows. But 4WD is an absolute must in the winter. Guest feedback has been very very strong. In 4 years we have had 3 guests disappointed. All 3 were crestfallen as they thought it would be more like a hotel than a country cabin. The rest have been very happy.
