Completely updated 1940s cabin in Stanley proper. Open Loft upstairs, sleeps 4 (queen bed (new mattress ‘23) and twin trundle). NOTE: tight for 4 adults upstairs. Living room, kitchen and bathroom downstairs. Meadow Creek runs right through the property and continues into Valley Creek, a tributary of the Salmon River. Great fishing at the Nature Preserve just a block to the north. Walk or ride your bike to town. Incredible views of the Sawtooth Mountains. Quiet area on the outskirts of town. The space This 2 story cabin is famous! Saved from demo and relocated from the North Fork Store property (north of Ketchum) featured in Marilyn Monroe's movie, Bus Stop, set in Sun Valley. There is no bath tub, only a shower. We kept the original staircase, which are slightly steep, so please consider this prior to booking. We provide linens, towels, extra blankets and sheets, an A/C unit, and everything you may need in the kitchen to cook. This is a remote area so please only use what you need. It takes some coordination and effort to restock supplies and do laundry. Please do not bring unaccounted for guests. This includes folks camping the driveway. This a small cabin. We love how cozy it is and we think you will too but it’s limited in space. Things happen so if you break something, please let us know so we can get it replaced. Please note that wildfires are common in the western states each year July - September. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations outside of our policy window due to smoke. If access to/from or accommodations at the cabin are directly impacted by a fire, we are open to discussing refunds with guests on a case by case basis. Thanks! Guest access The entire 650 square foot cabin will be available for guests. The outdoor area, partially fenced in with a log worm fence is available. Please keep an eye on small children around the creek. Other things to note A few rules: We are happy to share our home with you but please be respectful. We frequently use our cabin as well. Kindly remove your shoes upon entering. We do have a strict NO Pet and NO Smoking policy. Two vehicles max and no RVs or trailers. Please do not drive in the yard. We do not allow fires. Please turn off exterior porch lighting at night. This area is in a Dark Sky Reserve (check out the stars!!) and the city ordinances require it. We reserve the right to terminate your rental mid-stay if our rules are violated. Fines may apply. If you’re cool with our rules, come experience Stanley at our place.
