Featured on Season 4 of HGTV's Home Town, this little oasis of tranquility is lovingly referred to as "The Littlest House". The spacious one bedroom home highlights several unique design updates that have been tailored to the owner's individual style. Nestled beneath four sprawling pecan trees, this ancestral farm house boasts two porches and plenty of shade for you to catch a sunrise/sunset during your visit. Two kitty cats do live outside so If you have pet allergies, please beware. The space As you step into this little piece of Americana, you'll instantly feel right at home. The warm tones and inviting atmosphere will envelop you as you walk through the front door. It is 640 square feet of pure bliss, complete with one bedroom with a queen size bed, a large bathroom which houses a washer and dryer, a spacious and beautiful kitchen, and a cozy living room with a full size pull out sofa bed. The living and kitchen areas have an open concept feel about them and the bedroom and bath are tucked away on the back side of the house. Throughout the house you will find art work by Erin Napier and other local artists, a family history wall, custom built furniture, original decor from the show as it appeared on TV, a fully stocked kitchen, TV's in the living room and the bedroom, and an old library ladder that stretches the length of the vaulted ceiling. In addition to the front porch, you have access to a side porch which houses the refrigerator that was original to the house. Guests are welcome to use the refrigerator. You will also have access to an outdoor entertainment area with outdoor lights and a fire pit located just behind the house. Though there are two cats that live outside, the owner has a no-pet policy for all visitors. Outside cats are not allowed inside. Other amenities include: High Speed Internet, Roku TV, Netflix, Philo TV, Puzzles, cards, and Board Games available for your use. Rena will be sharing her home with you while she is away pet sitting in Laurel and the surrounding area. The house will be stocked with items that you may need during your stay. This is Rena’s primary dwelling, so feel free to use any extra items you may need during your stay. She wants to share her lovely space with you so you can get a taste of Home Town and stay in a real life Home Town house while you visit Laurel. The Littlest House is located just 7 minutes from beautiful downtown Laurel and the front door of the Laurel Mercantile. In addition, you are just a hop, skip, and a jump away (less than one mile) from Landrum's Country Homestead, a MUST SEE destination when visiting Laurel. (Several Hometown scenes have been filmed at Landrums). Guest access You have access to the entire home and property that it sits on. Other things to note GUEST PETS NOT ALLOWED. Two cats have taken up part-time residence outside at The Little House. You are welcome to feed them while you are there otherwise they will eat at my moms. Cat food located inside.
