Welcome to The Bird’s Nest, a haven of adventure and relaxation nestled at the base of Overlook Mountain on our family rescue farm. Designed with families and friends' getaways in mind, this idyllic space offers the perfect blend of nature retreat and stylish vacation home. The space Situated on 30 acres of private land, The Bird's Nest provides easy access to a variety of attractions, including a heated pool (available from May to September) located outside the owner's house. You can also spend time with our rescue animals, relax in the wood-burning sauna, swim in a small waterfall and 3ft swimming hole, and enjoy the serenity of a private stream and woods. Other outdoor amenities include hammocks, picnic tables, a fire pit, BBQ area, a children's play set, and a trampoline. While the natural beauty surrounding our location takes center stage, we haven't compromised on comfort inside the apartment. The unit features a fully-stocked kitchen, beautiful living spaces, comfortable bedrooms, and breathtaking views of the mountains. The master bedroom offers a king-sized bed, while a twin bed nook provides additional sleeping for a friend or little one. The spacious living room is perfect for relaxation and quality time with loved ones. Modern-day conveniences and high-quality furnishings enhance your stay, including a reclining sofa and armchair, a king-sized bed with an all-natural, chemical-free Tempur-Pedic mattress, a private entrance, spacious desk with a view of the woods (perfect for remote work), washer/dryer, airfryer/toaster oven, coffee machine, and even a popcorn maker. A large TV with access to popular streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu, as well as strong Wi-Fi, cater to your entertainment needs. As you venture further into the property, be captivated by our wonderful rescue animals, which include horses, miniature donkeys, emus, pigs, lots of chickens, rabbits, goats, and 20+ geese. Guests are welcome to walk around and say hi to the animals on their own or we offer animal tours for guests interested in learning more about our friendly residents. Delight in the ambiance of our wood-burning sauna, where serenity and rejuvenation await. A tranquil small waterfall cascades into a refreshing 3ft swimming hole, while a private stream meanders through the property. The property includes three other houses, two of which are occupied by the owner's family, and the third is also available for Airbnb guests. With its own entrance, The Bird's Nest ensures complete privacy for our guests. The apartment is the only residence in the building is located above a garage housing farm equipment, which is used minimally by the owners. Other things to note Please read this information carefully before booking! All bookings of 2 nights or more include a session in our wood-burning sauna by the stream. To ensure the sauna is ready for you, please provide us with at least 5 hours' notice before your desired session time. Love the sauna and want to use it again during your stay? Additional sessions can be arranged for $75 per use. Farm Tours: Private Farm Tour ($50 or Included with 3+ Night Stay) Experience the joy of meeting our adorable farm animals up close! This guided tour allows you to pet, interact with, and learn about the unique stories of our friendly residents. For guests staying 3 nights or more, this tour is included at no additional cost. If you're staying for 1 or 2 nights and would like to enjoy the private farm tour, the cost is $50 per tour. Please let us know at least 1 day in advance to schedule your tour so we can make the necessary arrangements. Self-Guided Tour: Prefer to explore at your own pace? We offer a self-guided tour option where you can stroll around the farm and see the animals for yourself. Many of our animals will come right up to the fence to say hi! Please do not enter any enclosures or feed them. Pony Rides: Traveling with a child? We offer pony rides with our miniature horse, Merlin for an additional charge.
