The Cottage on Edgar Drive
The Cottage on Edgar Drive contains 1200 square feet with two very large bedrooms on each end and a central living/dining/cooking area. Both bedrooms have closet space and full bathrooms. Enjoy coffee and refreshments on the screened-in porch. The cottage is within walking distance of downtown Lewisburg's shops and restaurants, and is also conveniently located to other area attractions. The owner lives in the main house and enjoys sharing her collections with guests. The space Price listed is for the entire cottage. Parking spaces available for two cars; additional space may be available with owner's permission. Property is smoke-free and pet-free! I generally leave a couple of days between bookings for cleaning. I prefer stays of two or more days (same reason), but there may be last-minute availability for shorter stays. Guest access Guests have use of the entire cottage, including a spacious screened-in porch. Immediately in front of the cottage is a (somewhat) deerproof flower garden. There is a large child-friendly swing and a tree swing; please be conscious of the amount of weight on the the tree swing. There is also a large grassy area for lawn games. Contact the owner for access to other areas in the yard or the main house. Internet access is through a 5g cable connection. The Smart TV is hooked up to the internet and automatically accesses Amazon Prime. Other streaming sites can be used with your own passwords, or a computer can be hooked up and streamed through the TV. Other things to note The downtown shopping area is 1/2 mile downhill (uphill on the way back:) Nearby White Sulphur Springs is experiencing a "rebirth" and has shops and restaurants, as well as The Greenbrier Resort, which is open to the public for many activities. This is also a great area to safely enjoy the beautiful outdoor scenery of West Virginia also...several state parks are within a 40-minute drive, our newest national park - New River Gorge - is a 60-minute drive, and of course The Greenbrier River Trail is very close. The owner leads hike for a local group and loves to recommend trails. A pull-out table with extra chairs easily seats your family.
