There is one master bedroom and a small loft room for an individual (an adult fits, however it is thought out for a child), as well as a single bed/ day bed. ( Bunkbed style layout) Combinations that work well: 1 Adult 1 Adult couple 1 Adult couple + 1 or 2 children 1 Adult couple + 1 or 2 youth 1 Adult couple + 1 Adult single 1 Adult couple + 1 Adult and + 1 child * The final combination has worked, understanding the limited privacy in the second sleeping space: 1 Adult couple + 2 Adult singles The cabin was built under passive house principles; oriented to have maximum coolness and shade in the summer, and full exposure to light in the winter. Thickly insulated walls of natural materials that breath and create a stable comfortable temperature without excessive heating or cooling necessary. Each year the house and property become more civilized and comfortable as the construction and creating continues! In general, permaculture practices influence the development and use of the grounds. There is a compost station on site for the garden and kitchen. The hot water heater is solar powered with an electrical backup. Guests are welcome to taste and enjoy both the wild and cultivated of the property :) Fruit, herbs, vegetables, honey; it depends on what time of the year you show up in, but there will always be local treats available to connect you with the season! Guest access The property is located in the neighbourhood of Rincon de Lobos. It is 5 kms of gravel road from the HWY 40, and El Hoyo town center. The road to arrive at the property is challenging * one hill that needs 1st gear and patience! This is part of what makes this section of the neighbourhood so tranquil and safe- it is not heavily transited. It's a country road up a hill or two before you arrive, please prepare for some bumps along the way :) this is a rural destination. Public transportation does not pass by the house. One can arrive with their own vehicle, taxi, or there is a possibility to order a private car to pick you up from either El Bolson or El Hoyo. I would recommend hiring a car or considering the private shuttle service if you don't have a vehicle. There are quite a few kms between all of the wonderful sites to explore, from the lake, to the river, to the waterfall, to the labyrinth, wineries, hikes, trips into Bolson to see the regional artisan market and buy souvenirs. The horse riding adventures are right next door, so they can be easily organized ;) Other things to note There is a tiny house on the property where the property owner, you hostess, stays. You can find her attending to the landscaping, pool and house maintenance, and bee care (in between her guiding work in the region). She makes sure everything is well watered and functioning:) The tiny house is removed from the grounds of the main house and does not interfere with the privacy or activities of the guests during their stay. Do count on support and guidance in understanding the functions of the house, and help in organizing trips and excursions around the area!!
