Cozy, Secluded Cabin -A Peaceful Getaway Location!
Located just a half mile from town, but secluded enough to be a private hilltop house retreat. The deck overlooks downtown with a backdrop of the Mississippi River! Enjoy the outdoors hiking at the Palisades State Park with miles of trails just a short drive away, kayak or fish one of the many rivers or lakes, stroll through downtown for antique and gift shopping, or visit a nearby winery. After a day of adventures, relax in the spa tub or enjoy a glass of wine on the private deck. The space You’ll find everything you need to make your getaway memorable! Bigger than your typical “tiny house” but small enough to be quaint and cozy, this private free-standing house is the perfect location to visit the Upper Mississippi River Valley. The well-equipped kitchen has an oven, small refrigerator/freezer, beverage fridge (shelves can be moved to fit larger items), microwave, coffee pot and toaster oven/air fryer. The water faucet is connected to a KUBE® advanced water filtration system, for safe, quality drinking water. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, mugs, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, etc. The private deck has a table and chairs to watch the sunset, and a propane grill. Unwind with your favorite movies on the smart tv (guest account required for app access, local tv only). Comfortably sleep up to four with a king size bed on the second floor with its own small balcony to take in the view, and a full-size futon on the main level. The bathroom has a large spa tub (note, it may be difficult to get in and out of for those with limited mobility - see photos). Enjoy a fire at the fire pit in the evening-Guests have full access to the yard (except the fenced area, for safety). No basement or shed access (host storage area). Guest access There is a small parking area that will fit up to 2 cars maximum in front of the house. Please note: Boats and trailers may have difficulty fitting! The access road leading to the property must not be blocked. Other things to note In the 1800's, Savanna became part of the railroad route. As a rural location, the trains still must sound their whistles as they pass through. This may present noise concerns for some. Others may enjoy the nostalgia of old train sounds along the route. Between the Mississippi River and the Bluffs of the Driftless Region, Savanna was named #1 “Best Small Town for Adventure” by USA Today in 2021, 2022 AND 2023!
