We have worked hard to keep the historic beauty while renovating with modern/rustic touches. The space This completely and thoughtfully renovated, early 1900's, ~1,200 sq. ft. home is central to the entire town of Houghton! Take your first step into this beautifully restored home and you are greeted with brand new timeless and classic finishes, restored 100 + year old shiplap that surround the kitchen, dining room, 2nd floor and most of the ceilings, and a unique, historical home full of vibrant colors and patterns. The mudroom, kitchen & dining, living room, a full bath, and 1 bedroom make up the first floor. The bedroom and bathroom have privacy curtains where the kitchen, dining, and living areas do not to take full advantage of the natural light coming through the windows to make the rooms glow. A fully stocked kitchen allows you to do all your cooking "at home" if you would like. A brand new weber BBQ on the front porch is great for the beautiful Keweenaw summers. A washer and dryer make things simple for longer stays. We have put a lot of thought and effort into making sure you have everything you need for your stay, long or short. The details matter. The second floor gives off the log cabin vibe with it's entirety covered in restored original ship lap and round cedar trusses. The master king bedroom and 2nd living room/open bedroom with two twin beds are spacious and conclude the 2nd floor.
