Other things to note *** IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE OUR BACKGROUND CHECK PROCESS*** We take pride in our vacation home and want all guests to feel safe and welcome. By conducting a background check and verification on every guest, it ensures that we have a better quality guest that we're happy to host. We have found this process minimizes damage, wear and tear on our home and provides a cleaner, more comfortable stay for our guests with limited hassle. Of course, this can't solve all of our problems, but want you to know what to expect because it's important that you take an extra step after your booking to do this so your booking is confirmed. If you do not go through our background check and verification within 5 days of your booking, we reserve the right to cancel the booking. We also reserve the right to cancel your booking based on the findings of the background check and you will be notified within 5 days of your booking request if this is the case. In addition to the background check process, you will be given the choice between paying a refundable deposit or buying a non-refundable damage waiver. We suggest you buy the damage waiver as this protects you in case you cause accidental damage during a booking, but the choice is totally yours. The email or text messages to complete this step will come from a third-party vendor we use called Truvi. They will also be the company that collects either the damage waiver or security deposit. You'll have a choice of two options. Feel free to choose the one that best suits you. Option 1 - A deposit of $750 will be collected 14 days before your stay and released 7 days after your stay ends and the home is reviewed for damages, theft, etc. The vendor does collect a 3% processing fee for this option, but the $750 will be returned to the guest per the damage agreement. Option 2 - A non-refundable damage waiver of $75 can be paid upfront at the time of booking. This option prevents any accidental damage claims and protects the guest for up to $750 of accidental damage. It does NOT protect the guest from excessive damage beyond the $750, intentional damage or theft. We understand families travel with small children and at times a broken plate or light can happen so this options gives you some flexibility during your stay that you won't have to worry about those smaller things that come up during your trip. Optional pool heat is available for only $25/day + tax. We would recommend adding pool heat to your reservation between the months of October and April.
