Walk 8 minutes on the trail and explore the University of Montana campus. The Penwell Building was originally an old hotel built in 1910. Its purpose was to serve passengers from the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad (the Milwaukee Road), which began passenger service in 1911. The building has 35 apartments of which 13 are Airbnb studios. We live 5 minutes from the building if any needs arise. We also have an onsite employee that can assist issues. Right downtown on the river! Free parking on the street. This unit shares dormitory style bathrooms/showers that are cleaned daily by onsite janitor. We have 35 apartments and roughly half of them have private bathrooms and half share 4 bathroom/showers in the building (2 toilet rooms and 2 shower rooms per floor). There is no elevator in the apartment building. There is a steep flight of stairs you must climb to get from the street level to the second floor.
