The space Indulge in the comfort and tranquil setting of this unique 1000 ft. rustic/eclectic 2 bedroom / 2 bath water front cabinish. Located just 6 miles off interstate 57, and 1/2 mile off route 148, and close to SIU Campus, nestled in a safe neighborhood area on a private lot. The two bedrooms are on opposite ends of the Airbnb. Back King has its own full private bath. Front queen has an access private door into a full bath. Open floor living, dining, and kitchen. Game board/ reading material cabinet, full size washer/ dryer closet. Fully stocked kitchen with full size appliances. Three outside decks. Upper deck has a bar with seating stools, lower deck has seating chairs, side tables, and a sun shade above making sunny days more comfortable. Third deck is partially over the water for a perfect view of the blue pond. Fire pit / Grill area: Seating, Charcoal grill and supply table. Wood, charcoal, utensils all supplied. PRIVATE covered Hot Tub area. Roll down locking shades, barn door entry, & above soft lighting. Hooks for placing beach towels and robes (provided) The Airbnb property, and hot tub are completely private. Not shared with other guests. We do live on opposite end of the 3/4 acre property…. On a different road, and each have a separate address. There is so much to do here in Southern Illinois! Head out to near by Farmer’s Markets, Antique Stores, Wineries, and Breweries or go Cave exploring, Hiking, Golfing, and Fishing…….or just stay put and enjoy your very own relaxing Oasis. Note: ConAir flys from Chicago to Marion Veterans Airport only 2.4 miles from Airbnb. “NOTICE”. Due to the deep pond next to the Airbnb, parents must accompany children outside at all times. Children must be accompanied by an adult while in the hot tub. For security purposes, Shady Rest does have front camera facing the driveway only. With Host approval, guests are allowed to have friends or family from the area over to visit. Guests visitors may not spend the night or stay after 12:00 p.m. Hot tub use is for Airbnb guests only! Shady Rest “on blue pond” and all amenities on the property inside and out are all private meaning the entire Airbnb space is not shared with any other guests. The Airbnb is nestled in a safe neighborhood on a private lot. Close enough to town for any needed supplies. We do live on the opposite end of the property… on a different road with separate address. Property is 3/4 acre. Other things to note Airbnb sets across the 1/2 acre blue pond (approx.150 feet) away from our New second Airbnb “The Hideaway” We have tried to seclude the activities at The Hideaway as much as possible, so guests at either Airbnb have their privacy. We are a No Pet Airbnb. We realize guests travel with support animals, but support animals are not considered service animals. According to Airbnb policies Hosts are Not required to accept support animals. A service animal performs duties that a disabled person can not perform. We try to keep the Airbnb ready for all guests even those who have pet allergies. Please do not ask to accept a pet or support pet. We are not handicapped accessible Airbnb. You must be 21 + to make a reservation. Please do not make a reservation for anyone under 21. Person making reservations are responsible for any damages.
