Tucked away on serene farmland, it’s just 3 minutes from town, where you can savor delicious local restaurants and visit cute cafes and shops. The Step is a 168 square foot, quaint and cozy, A-Frame located on a farm. Our unique glamping cabin holds a queen size memory foam bed and a little nook for you to sit at and eat, play a plethora of games or read a book! We have an outside stone patiowith a picnic table, grill, some chairs, and a fire pit in the middle. The cabins electricity is run off of two large rechargeable solar batteries. (Which in other words is slightly limited but if you are staying a night or two it shouldn’t affect your stay) Our bathhouse is equipped with a small urinal for a convenient luxury and a composting toilet as well! (It’s About 20’ away from the cabin) The outhouse does not have running water- there is **NO SHOWER** and no plumbing at The Step. We do have a small sink in the outhouse for hand washing and other water necessities. The cabin is equipped with a heater for those cold winter nights. The town of Montgomery is a 3 minute drive from The Step where you can grab some great local food and drinks. Montgomery is often described as a 'hallmark film town' and we agree! What’s on Our Farm? • Two Ponds! Yes, you can fish in them 🐟 • Walkill River Frontage 🌊 • Flower Cutting Fields (seasonal) 🌸 • 7+ Acre Corn Maze (Sep+Oct) • Goats, rabbits, sheep, and chickens!! Go to Twin Ponds on The Farm or 127cabinco for more information about our property! Guest access You’re free to explore the entire 78 acre operating farm! The farm has bunnies, chickens and goats. You can test out your fishing skills in the two large ponds located in the front of the farm or in the Walkill River located at the bottom of the farm. Other things to note *Please be aware that this site does not contain running water and is powered by ecoflow batteries, however if you are staying just a night or two this will not effect your stay in any way. (Electricity will work just like a normal home)* For your bathroom needs you will find an outhouse that will be stocked with toiletries and a small sink. Keep in mind that this stay is intended to be an off-the-grid, glamping experience (glorified camping), aka a comfy mattress and less bugs. It truly is perfect place to reconnect with nature, unplug, relax and unwind!
