The Blue Ridge Mountain House, located on seven hillside acres, is surrounded by nature. Enjoy watching wildlife and many birds from the wide porch or walking in the terraced yard. Sparta, a short five mile drive away, provides grocery shopping, musical entertainment, local art galleries, and good food. Private yet accessible, this home is located just minutes from vacation activities, such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking, birding, canoeing, fishing, dancing, golf, shopping, and music. The space The entire home is for guests to use. Even in rainy weather, guests can enjoy rocking, having meals, or relaxing in the swing and hammock on the large porch. An office/work area is located in the master bedroom with access to printer. Guest access Guests have access to the large porch with gas grill that overlooks the Blue Ridge Parkway. In season, grapes can be gathered from the grape vine in the side yard. The terraced yard is great for walks or children playing. Seven acres of pasture surround the home that provide a great area for walks and exploring. A variety of games is available in the old fashioned ice box in the dining area. We strive for our guests to feel this is their “home away from home.” If needed, an office/work area is located in the master bedroom with access to printer.
