The Cabin at Dry Hollow Farm (B)
Local Amish builders constructed this cabin at Dry Hollow Farm in 2016. On 63 acres of woods and pasture we raise Jacob Nigerian Dwarf and Alpine goats for milk from which we craft artisan goat milk soap of many varieties. We are located five miles outside of Huntingdon, Tennessee, and offer opportunities to interact with our farm animals and shop in our on-farm Soap Shop. We offer a peaceful rural setting with plenty of space to roam. Visit us online at Dry Hollow Farm. The space Our guests have the opportunity to interact with a variety of farm animals. Our flock of goats welcome guests with interest as they eagerly await snacks of shelled peanuts or animal crackers (available for cabin guests). Chester and Jessie are our general farm dogs who will greet every visitor. They are people-friendly, but will bark to welcome new arrivals. Our cadre of livestock guarding dogs are assigned specific pastures to protect flocks from predators, including coyotes and bobcats who can be very vocal at night. Free range chickens also provide constant entertainment. Farm tours are available upon request if time allows. We also have the Dry Hollow Farm Soap Shop available for all farm visitors. Although located in a quiet rural setting, Dry Hollow Farm is only minutes from the town of Huntingdon which offers shopping, restaurants, and a local movie theater. Visit us at Dry Hollow Farm. Guest access Guests have access to all areas of the farm, although we request no entrance into pastures for the protection of health of our livestock. It is very important that if children are present, they are supervised while visiting the property as we are a working farm. Please do not allow them to explore alone, play in the barn, or enter pastures without constant adult supervision. Other things to note Please note that we are a working farm, which includes a variety of animals such as chickens, roosters, livestock guarding dogs, and lots of goats. Our goal is to ensure the protection and health of both our guests and our critters. You may also hear local coyote packs or bobcats on occasion. It's a part of our rural life and a working farm atmosphere.
