Quincy House, completed in 1882 is an Italianate Victorian mansion built by Quincy Mining Company to prominently house its highest ranking area official, the Agent aka Supervisor. It is the last standing mining company agent's house among the many mines that once exploited the area for copper. Built more lavishly than other mine company structures for status, it served as a social center during the copper mine boom. Guest access Guests enter through the side of Quincy House and up one flight of stairs to their private and lockable separate entrance. Head left into the separately doored living/sitting room or right to the separately doored bedroom with separately doored en suite bathroom. Quincy House is currently undergoing restoration and preservation. Guests stay in the private, separate newly restored rear section of the house. We reside in the separate front section that is under restoration. Both sections are closed off from each other and you will not be disturbed by construction during your stay. Your privacy and comfort is our utmost concern. We are happy to give guests tours of the rest of the house and talk about the history upon request. We have a long driveway with plenty of free parking. Other things to note Quincy House has, is and will be undergoing restoration and preservation for years to come. In no way will this negatively effect your stay. A couple of our guests have commented that we are a diamond in the rough! Truly! As you enter the house to access your suite, you will go through the older part of the house, but once you enter your suite you will be fully impressed how beautiful the newly remodeled accommodations are for you to enjoy! Your stay will help benefit restoration of the house as all proceeds we receive from your visit are put directly into the Quincy House Preservation Foundation, a 501c3 charitable nonprofit organization formed and operated by us to sustain the house, now and for the future, as a valuable historical, educational interpretation of Copper Country history.
