Nestled in a quiet community at the mouth of the canyon to Taos Ski Valley (15min), the Cactus Studio is perfectly located for those interested in exploring all the area has to offer, from enchanting mountain scenery to the world-renowned culture, food, and art of Taos (20min) or Arroyo Seco (5min). The studio is one of three located together on a uniquely designed property that showcases a classic southwestern adobe style. The space The interior embodies the Southwest. Saltia tiling, traditional viga beams, and locally inspired art are warm and inviting. High-speed internet, a streaming/casting compatible TV (Hulu, Netflix, Max, Disney+ subscriptions all included), keyless smart locks, espresso machine, kitchenette, private bathroom, and free parking are included. A private balcony features outdoor bistro seating and stunning views of the Rio Hondo River Valley below. The balcony also includes outdoor lighting and offers stunning star gazing from the comfort of an outdoor daybed (available Apr - Oct). A glass sliding door connects the balcony to the studio and includes a screen door for airflow on cool summer nights. Inside the studio you can relax on a beautiful leather couch in front of the wood-burning fireplace. The queen size memory foam mattress is topped with down pillows and premium sheets. The kitchenette area has a mini fridge, air fryer, basic dish-ware, coffeemaker, and electric kettle. Coffee and basic spices are supplied. Note that the kitchenette does not include a cooktop, although the tabletop oven/airfryer can be used for some food prep. Wood and firestarter are provided year-round for the wood-burning stove. Please note that there is no AC. Guest access 4-wheel-drive is recommended to access the property via dirt road. Snow tires are additionally recommended in winter. The property has a keypad lock that allows you to come and go without having to worry about keys. Each guest is provided a unique code during their stay for enhanced security. Please note that the front door access is shared between this studio and two others. Guests from all three studios have front door access, but only you have access to your private studio. Other things to note Cell service is poor at the property. Please save your door code and WiFi information offline before arriving to ensure smooth check-in. Also please note that there is no AC. You may experience ongoing repairs on the outdoor staircase of the unit. These are conducted by the HOA - please use caution on the stairs.
