Welcome to Freyja’s Place! Located in a quiet neighborhood with a walking path overlooking the Ohio River. Originally built in 1890, Freyja’s place is fragrance free and has been completely updated with hand picked, locally sourced decor, high ceilings, and new kitchen appliances. You'll be walking distance to a local coffee shop, restaurants, and stores; a short drive to Newport, where Newport on the Levee hosts a variety of restaurants, shopping and entertainment, and downtown Cincinnati. The space This property boasts a large main bedroom with a king-sized bed, a second bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a quiet office nook, a full bathroom with a bathtub/shower, a living/entertainment room with a Roku, a fully equipped kitchen, a kids corner and fold out crib, consciously chosen environmentally friendly products, and landscaping that hosts plants native to the region. While the house has been completely renovated, it still maintains its original charm. This includes exposed brick, an old sealed-off hearth in the bedroom, and plenty of natural light. Guest access The entire space is yours to enjoy, including the backyard. Other things to note The backyard of the property opens up onto the Riverfront Commons - Levee Path, a walking/biking path that provides a beautiful scenic view of the Ohio River. The property itself is a five minute walk from Roebling Books & Coffee on 6th Ave. 6th Ave. also includes a wide variety of restaurants that range from Thai Food, to American and Mexican cuisine and more. The 6th Avenue strip also has a vibrant nightlife to offer with Darkness Brewing and Three Spirits Tavern only a 15 minute walk (5m car ride) away. We’re a nine minute drive from Newport on the Levee, which offers a movie theater, plenty of Restaurants and Hofbräuhaus Newport, North America’s first authentic Hofbräuhaus, modeled after the 400-year-old Hofbräuhaus in Munich, Germany. Freyja's Place is a nine minute drive from Mount Adams, the home of the Cincinnati Art Museum and Botanical Gardens, and a 10-15 drive from a number of popular sites in Cincinnati, the hub of the Bengals, Reds and SC Cincinnati. For you sports fans out there, you can save money and stress on parking by taking the bus into Cincinnati to see the game. Dayton provides a #12 TANK (Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky) bus line that will take you into Cincinnati and back. The closest stop for this bus line is at 6th and MicKinney, which is approximately a 5 minute walk from the space. Cincinnati also offers the Taft and Contemporary Arts Museums, Music Hall and a number of outstanding restaurants and bars. On top of all of that, there are at least half a dozen concert venues in the greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area.
