The space The front portico entrance has an overwhelming sense of patriotism with its heritage red painted front door. The staircase, original to the home has an original baluster with untouched stain, coats of polyurethane has given it life again. Cozy yourself on the couch and watch a movie, gather with friends for game night (board games provided in the cabinet) or unwind with a glass of wine in the wood paneled sitting room. This home holds America’s oldest stories in its walls and has been situated on an elevated lot, allowing her to watch the village take shape over the last 200 years. Port Jefferson Village is Home to America’s earliest shipbuilders- the 1813 house has many ship building materials still holding it up today with its red rock foundation and wooden beams that were used to build ships during the 19th century ! The Village is known for its deep water harbor, historic homes and vibrant downtown area. The downtown shorefront area features many quaint shops, boutiques, art galleries, antique stores, gift shops and more than 30 eateries. ROOMS **downstairs master bedroom with en-suite bathroom (walk-in shower) can be closed off entirely as its own sleeping quarters. 1 queen bed, also laundry unit is also in this part of the home, great for a days worth of washing, quick and efficient machines! Bedroom has its own tv ** upstairs has two bedrooms with a connecting full bathroom (bathtub) and A queen bed in each bedroom. Please let the host know if you have a newborn there is a pack in play in the upstairs east facing bedroom that can be set up for you.
