Welcome to Dittyville - our Victorian farmhouse on a beautiful acre in the rolling hills of SW Virginia located on the Crooked Road Music Trail. It’s the perfect spot to relax, hike, bike or base yourself from while you enjoy the traditional old-time or bluegrass music the region is known for. There are jams, concerts and festivals often nearby or, stay home and enjoy the sunset from the back deck. This main floor suite is perfect for a couple, small family, business person, or solo adventurer. The space Our comfortable guest-suite has a new, king-size bed, a full bathroom, and it’s own entrance on the wrap-around porch with patio seating. There is a TV, small desk, fridge, microwave, tea and coffee in your room so you can enjoy creature comforts but you are also welcome to use the common living room, (with a workspace), or our kitchen. Our home is a shared space with two, nice cats but we do value your privacy. You may reach out to us anytime with questions during your stay if you need anything or wish info on things to see or do in the region. We love talking about the music and culture of the area. Please note that there are no animals or smoking permitted in the suite. Guest access You have your own entrance (on the side of house) and there is ample parking. You are welcome to park in the driveway close to the side porch/door where the guest suite is located for easy loading in and out. We often greet our guests but if you need to arrive late or at a special time you can conveniently let yourself in using the door code. During your stay Our home is a shared space with my husband Carl, myself and our two, nice cats. We love talking about the music and culture of the area. Other things to note We have heat pump for heating / cooling and the house is kept at a comfortable temperature. Hillsville is in the mountains so it’s generally cooler and pleasant in the summers, mild in the spring/fall and we usually only have snow a couple times in the winter (none in 2023). We have internet in our home that is good for internet use and sufficient for zoom meetings but upload speeds may be slow. Our house on the corner of Little Vine and Peacock is easy to find (only 5 miles from highway 77 (exit 19) and 14 miles from highway 81 (exit 89 A). If you are coming from downtown Hillsville you will go
