Located just minutes off the interstate, our house in Henryetta is the perfect stopover for families and travelers looking for a place to relax after a long day on the road. We spend several weeks a year here visiting family, so it has everything you might need for a comfortable stay. The home is pet and kid friendly but not fully "child-proof". The space Please make yourself at home and treat the space with the care you would your own home! We have owned this home for years (Andy grew up in the area and lived in this house in the late 2000s before moving to southern New Mexico, where we currently live). We stay here for a couple weeks, several times a year, to spend extended time with our family. We have a young son (born fall of 2019), so we keep a few books and toys in a corner of the living room, available for your kids to use. The kitchen is ready for cooking meals, and is stocked with basics like spices and cooking oil. We welcome your furry family members. The house has a dog bed in the downstairs bedroom, and pet water and food bowls. Please wash the bowls if you use them so they are ready for the next furry guest! Important things to note: -There is a railroad crossing about a block and a half away. You will hear trains passing (and blowing their horns) several times throughout the day and night. -We treat for insects, but this is a hot and humid area, and it is possible you will encounter insects (ants, rolly pollys, occasional flies) in the home. Keep the kitchen area clean and don't leave out food, to avoid attracting insects. -The house is child-friendly but not child-proof! Please supervise young children carefully. NOTE: there is no door/gate at the top of the stairs, and the upstairs bedroom is a big open room. Guest access You will have access to the entire home except for a small storage closet upstairs. You also have access to the entire yard and porch, except for a small locked storage shed in the yard.
