The Lodge on Warner Hill
On your journey to our lodge, you will pass through a nostalgic covered bridge, drive by a babbling brook, and meander up a winding dead-end dirt road. Our home sits in a quiet, peaceful 5-acre setting. It has been completely remodeled with earth-tone charm. Enjoy your time with friends and family relaxing, reading a book, playing pool, barbequing on the back deck, gazing at the stars, or hanging out by the fire pit. Located less than 10 minutes from Berkshire East and the Deerfield River The space Known by locals to have been a musician getaway cabin in the 60s, this home has undergone a complete transformation. The kitchen, adorned with new stainless-steel appliances, butcher block, and granite counters, has ample space for creating culinary memories. It is an open concept to the dining area and sunroom, which makes it great for entertaining. While enjoying this time, ask "Alexa," housed in the antique radio, to play you some music. The great room is a fun area with plenty of quirky seating, a smart television, a pool table for the pool enthusiast, and plenty of board games to keep you busy. Large windows bring the outside in. All bedrooms are located on the second floors, which have been refinished with wide pine floors, and each is decorated with its own hint of a Native American/bohemian feel. This home has two full bathrooms, one with a walk-in double shower and the other with a tub shower combo. There is also a 1/2 bath just off the great room for convenience. Enjoy time on the expansive back deck, playing corn hole (weather permitting), or gazing at the stars while sitting around the fire pit. The property abuts conservation land. One may enjoy leisurely walks down the dirt road or just sitting quietly and listening to nature abound. Our area offers a lot of summer fun, fly fishing, kayaking, white water rafting, and tubing down the Deerfield River. Mountain biking, zip lining, and coaster rides at Berkshire East. Hiking the many trails, including Mt Greylock. Enjoy a day at Mass Moca just 30 min away, or a day in Shelburne Falls visiting their fun shops, cafes, the Bridge of Flowers, the glacier holes, and so much more! Charlemont is remote if you want to get "away from it all", this is the place. Guest access You will be given a code that unlocks the door just off the driveway. You will have access to the entire house, not to include the basement. If there is anything in the fridge or pantry you want to use you may. Other things to note The Lodge is in the hills in a remote town. You NEED an SUV car with AWD or 4-wheel drive vehicle to get there during the winter months. The house sits down a sloping driveway. There is a spot for one smaller car to park up top for guests with non-4-wheel drive vehicles. The nearest grocery store is 30 minutes away in Greenfield; therefore, consider shopping before your arrival. The local restaurants tend to make their own hours, so it's best to call before you go. Most other restaurants are a 25 -minute drive. For your safety, do not walk or hang out on the front deck in the winter months. The snow slides off the metal roof. You will find this area gated off from the side deck. The slider that leads to this area will be secured shut. The bedrooms are located on two separate sides of the house. Up the spiral staircase, you will find the main bedroom with a king bed and another room with a queen. These share a spa-like bathroom. You may find bringing luggage up the exterior stairwell off the deck easier. Please be careful, as it might not always be shoveled off. It snows often in the hills. The other two bedrooms are located on the right side of the home. At the top of the stairs, you will be greeted by a book reading nook, what we call the "loft room" with a queen bed, and the bunk room, which has a full bed on the bottom bunk and twin on top (good for a small child as the ceiling is low). Please note: The ice maker in the refrigerator is not hooked up.
