It’s actually a cross between a yurt and a dome, with the shape of a yurt and the triangular wall structure of a dome. Its six large windows make it bright and cheery and make it feel very much a part of the outside surroundings. In the fall and spring the yome has insulation and plexiglass window inserts to keep you cozy. When temps go below 52 degrees an electric heater will be provided for you. The yome comes fully equipped to cook and store your food: induction cooktop, toaster oven, pour over coffee pot, dorm sized refrigerator/freezer and necessary kitchenware. Outside you have a full sink with countertop for dishwashing. Best of all is a two person outside shower with hot and cold water. The clean, odor free compost toilet area is in a tall privacy tent. WiFi is there in the yome most of the time, but always on the deck. You can choose to cook outside with a charcoal grill or cook directly over the fire pit before you roast those marshmallows. Guest access Private entrance and private driveway for two cars. Other things to note This is a chemical free zone with no cigarette smoking allowed. Guests are asked to bring chemical free toiletries and soaps. I also provide them. Upon request a portable toilet with handrails will be provided if a guest has difficulty using the outside toilet area at night. Recycling is part of the yome experience.
