One of the most spectacular views on Long Lake, sunsets behind Mt. Washington, and water views galore! Right from the curb this cottage appeals with it’s gingerbread trim & a hint of sparkling water beyond. Facing the water, there is a large deck with a dining area and gas grill. Closer to the water, there is another deck with 2 large lounge chairs facing the mountains. The dock itself juts about 35 feet into the lake, perfect for launching a canoe or for jumping from for a swim in the lake. The space Upon entering the house through the front door the view straight ahead to the lake entices, but the entry is large enough for a closet, bench seat, hutch and hooks. To the right is the first floor bedroom, with two queen-sized beds, a flat screen TV and full en-suite bath. The end of the hallway opens out into the main living area, with cozy dining nook to the right, and full, open kitchen beyond featuring all amenities. The living area features a large, stone fireplace, long window seat, sofa and comfortable chair. This area features lots of glass, views, and light. Behind you is the small powder room tucked by the beautiful staircase to the second floor. At the top of the stairs is the small den, featuring a twin cupboard bed, comfy reading chair, and writing desk that is perfect for your laptop. Then comes the master suite, and the view is spectacular through double sliders. Window seats flank a second fireplace, and plenty of comfortable seating allows great sunset views, even reflected in the large, floor length mirror. The king bed faces the water, a great scene to wake up to. There is another en-suite bath, this one with double sinks, and a separate toilet and shower area. The shower is modern, over sized, and offers choices of hand-held or rain water sprays. The location and proximity to the water are spectacular enough to make guests never want to come in from the deck and dock. But the interiors are worthy of the site, and are in fact featured in the summer 2010 issue of a national decorating magazine.
