Description Hollymead House is a historic Inn in Charlottesville celebrating 50 years. Last purchased in 2018, underwent a 3 year restoration and re-opened in April, 2021. A luxurious stay of casual elegance, many amenities for a pampered stay. Close to wineries, breweries, UVa, Historic venues, downtown Charlottesville, hiking. New Owners and innkeepers are UVa graduate Pam and William who live on-property. The space Room #4, The Runk Room, is located on the second floor of the Guesthouse and is named after the fourth and last owner of Hollymead farm. “Dee” Runk was also the Dean of Men at UVa. Our only KING bed, we’ve chosen luxurious Villa di Lusso linens, duvets, pillows and bath towels. Long basket weave bathrobes. The GuestHouse includes 4 individual bedrooms/bathrooms, with a brick patio and comfortable furniture. Inside the Main home, guests may use the Garden Room to have coffee and light continental breakfast, and the Library for relaxing, reading, a game of checkers, chess or backgammon. Other downstairs public rooms which have been restored are also available to our guests. Our friendly cat lives in the Main home with us. Guest access Guests will have their own set of keys to the Guesthouse and their individual room. You are welcome to enjoy any of the outside areas, including patio, porch and seating areas. We live on the property so we are easily available. We are very knowledgeable about the area and happy to recommend things to do in Charlottesville and the surrounding counties. Other things to note This is a smoke-free and pet-free property. Each bedroom suits one or two adults.
