We are so excited to welcome you into the guest suite of our home! Every section of the space has been thoughtfully laid out and tastefully decorated to make sure you are in your own oasis during your time in the Steel City. The space Enjoy the large living room space and full sized fridge to store all your drinks and leftovers from the amazing restaurants Pittsburgh has to offer. Or order some delivery on Grubhub, Uber Eats or Door Dash and chill out in front of the TV which has streaming services such as HBO Max, Disney +, Discovery +, Netflix and Amazon Prime. Or if you need some hands on stimulation, pull out the vintage bingo and see if you are a winner! The bedroom boasts both a closet and dresser to store all your clothing and souvenirs. The queen sized bed has a memory foam mattress and makes for the perfect night's sleep. Through to the laundry room (which guests are welcome to use during their stay), you will find a private bathroom and a charming vintage basin sink, as well as a stand up shower with a removable shower head to make sure even our tallest guests can get clean. There is also a double cast iron sink which guests can use to clean off muddy shoes from any hikes you may go on in the many city and surrounding state parks that Pittsburgh is home to. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire basement suite. Other things to note We have 3 friendly dogs that will bark and play during your visit. There are gates in place so they do not have access to the basement, but they will come up to the gates and greet you. Although we strive to minimize the barking, they will definitely alert us any time you enter or leave the space. There is not a door that separates the guest suite from our main house, only a flight of stairs. Sound DOES travel in the home, so if you are a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, this may not be the best fit. The street and the driveway are narrow, so although trucks and vans do fit in the driveway, you will need to be careful while pulling in. The basement has somewhat low ceilings. If you are 6'2" or higher, you may not feel comfortable in the space. The basement does have a basic kitchenette, but it is not suited to make large or intricate meals.
