If you're looking for a true Rocky Mountain experience this is it! Nestled in the Aspen trees, this rustic mountain home is the quintessential Colorado getaway, with amazing panoramic views of 14,000 foot peaks from every window. Active solar off grid living with all modern amenities only minutes from town. The space There is plenty of space for 6 people to sleep in beds. The master bedroom has a king size Aspen post bed and a master bath that has a double head shower and a separate tub big enough for two! There is a Jack and Jill bathroom between the two guest rooms so each bedroom has its own vanity and there is a circa 1910 claw foot bathtub. One bedroom has two double beds and the other, a Queen bed. There are 2 gas fireplaces, one in the Master bedroom and another in the living/great room. The home is active solar power (which means it runs off of the sun) so remember to turn the lights off when not needed. There is a backup generator if power becomes low but please keep in mind to use the appliances i.e. washer/dryer, dishwasher, and microwave during daylight hours. Hair dryers are not recommended. The home is an active greenhouse as well so enjoy the plant life and fresh air- and the views are captivating from anywhere on the property so bring your camera! 4 wheel or all wheel drive is a must (even in summer) To see a short video go to YouTube and type in 752 Chinook. Guest access The home is located at an elevation of 9000 ft, with captivating views up 1.7 miles from paved Fall River road on a 4x4 dirt road, 4 wheel or all wheel drive is a must to get to the property due to the steep incline( even in summer ) Having 4 wheel drive makes the journey more comfortable for the passengers, the vehicle, and the road itself. The entire home is available to guests and can accommodate 6 people. Other things to note With the location of this home there are miles of 4x4 trails, rivers for fishing and rafting, and many trails for hiking and exploring. 4x4 or all wheel drive is a must (even in summer)- Georgetown is a short distance away so be sure to ride the Narrow Gauge railroad over Devils Gate bridge. Idaho Springs offers gold mine tours, rafting, jeep tours and Zip Lining. There is horseback riding and ATV tours available as well. Central City and Black Hawk are minutes away if you get a casino itch, and Red Rocks amphitheater is just down the road as well. There is no wi-fi service BUT don't forget the views from anywhere on the property! The home is only available June 1-October 1 due to remote location.
