Welcome to the Upper Room at the Blue House of Ball Ground! Our detached garage apartment studio is in the historic district of downtown Ball Ground - just a 5 minute walk to all the shops! Designed as a flex-use space, our studio has a super comfy Murphy wall bed, climbing wall, full sized kitchen and bath, as well as a full size upper attic loft with more beds and a hidden nook the kids will surely enjoy. Also, we have recently added access to our pottery studio available on the ground floor! The space Our detached garage studio apartment is just a 5-minute walk to the shops of downtown Ball Ground. It is new - built at the beginning of 2022. It has a 13-ft climbing wall, a super comfy Murphy wall bed, a 75" TV, full kitchen and bath, and an upper attic loft with a twin trundle and full bed and a hidden play nook for the kids. You can also schedule a time to gain access to the pottery studio on the ground floor of the garage. We live in the top 3 floors of the main house directly next to the detached garage. The back yard has a fire pit as well as some green space and a small creek! Guest access Guests have access to the main floor of the detached apartment studio as well as the upper attic loft. They have access to their own parking space for two cars in front of the garage. Guests can also feel free to run around and explore the back yard or use the fire pit. We have also added a pottery studio on the ground floor of the detached garage. Guests can schedule to gain access to use the pottery studio and clays, tools, paints, and tools can be rented for a fee. Other things to note The ground floor of the detached garage is outfitted as our pottery studio. It contains spinning wheels, tables, chairs, a utility sink, and all the supplies necessary for pottery and ceramics including, clay, slip clay, tools, paints, and molds. All three of our Airbnb studios at the Blue House of Ball Ground can have access to the pottery studio. If you are interested in using the pottery studio, please message me to schedule a time to use it. If you want to spin clay then tools and clay can be rented and used in a 2 hour time window for $35 per person. If you would like to fire a piece that you have made by hand or spun on the wheel then firing is $5.00 for a piece under 8" or $10.00 for a piece over 8". Drying and firing a handmade piece can take an average of 2 months. If you would like to purchase an already bisque fired piece to paint, the prices for each piece are listed in the studio. Use of the tools and paints and firing is included in the price of the already bisque fired piece. Firing for the piece may take an average of one month and can be picked up for free or shipped at the current shipping rates plus $2.00 per piece.
