This unique place has a style all of its own, a Chalet, originally erected in 1885 and was passed on within the family for over a century. The chalet is slightly under 800 sq ft, just enough space to snuggle on a snowy day. On warmer days, conserve on the steps in the house because there are plenty of things to do in the area, read on! Licensed fishers are welcome to fish trouts in the creek, store your fishery in the Shanty. The space The primary bedroom is larger than the second room. In the second room, sleeps three with additional folding twin bed frame and mattress. The living room along dining room are in the between to mingle or perfect for family get together within the house. Guest access Additional space is in the backyard, a Mountain Shanty where you can store your snow gears: a snowboard rack holds 3 and sufficient space to lay down the skis. There are firewoods and seats with windows over looking the clear creek. Other things to note Silver Plume, old mining town, is at 9,118 feet elevation! That is where Big Horn sheep prefer to be at, they come around the town occasionally to graze and say hey. You'll be in luck if they come to the town for your sight seeing just out of the window! The town may appear to be abandoned or a ghost town, but really it's only under 200 population and they are always out and about living up their life in the mountain.
