This early 1850's Augusta home has been lovingly revitalized to help those who stay here capture the essence of Augusta. While we have highlighted the craftsmanship of the original builder, we have also incorporated our vision of a comfortable historic home in the very heart of Missouri wine country. The space The Augusta Haus calls out to those that enjoy privacy and being on their own schedule for that much needed getaway. A cozy living room with a corner fireplace and a parlor offer two wonderful spaces for unwinding and relaxation. If you enjoy a little “gourmet” cooking, you’ll love the kitchen. The private screened porch off of the master bedroom is a great place for that morning hot coffee or tea and a final evening toast of the day with a glass of your favorite Augusta AVA vino. Guest access Guest access includes the main and second floor at no additional charge. The main floor is where the Master Bedroom is located. The basement is not a guest space and should be accessed by guests only for emergency purposes. Other things to note If you’ve been to the Augusta area before, then you already know the appeal of this historic little town. If you are planning your first visit, here are a few things to note. You’ll want to make sure you have plenty of fuel in the tank as there are no convenience stores or service stations in the greater Augusta area. Also, while there are multiple choices for meals at area restaurants and wineries, you’ll want to plan ahead if intend to prepare some of your meals in the kitchen. Washington is fifteen minutes away and is the closest option for both fuel and groceries. There will be a complimentary bottle of vino in the fridge and complimentary snack items that will quell any snack cravings between meals, but if you plan to whip up any culinary works of art you’ll need to be prepared.
