Private, clean, comfy, bright, furnished 1-bedroom apt., with private entrance, own full kitchen, bathroom, living room, personal space. W/D in unit. Ideal for work travelers, medical students or residents, and medical and business professionals on contract with local companies or hospitals. Very walkable town, an easy 20 min. drive to New Haven, West Haven, Waterbury, Fairfield, Hamden, Bridgeport. Train stop in town for NYC. Library, grocery, shopping, banks, post office, restaurants nearby. The space This is a very clean, spacious, and comfortable home/apt in a family neighborhood. It has its own separate entrance and guests have the entire space to themselves. It is ideal for longer term solo professionals working in person in the area. It is a 2nd floor apartment in a 3-family home, so there are stairs, and it is not suitable for anyone with mobility constraints. The bedroom is large, bright (with room darkening shades and curtains), and comfortable, with a queen size with large storage drawers, as well as a dresser. The apartment itself is comfortable and clean, with ample space. It also has a 40 inch TV in the living room, ready for streaming with your log in, and a 32 inch TV in the bedroom for use with your own streaming device. But no cable is included. Parking is easy to find right on the street outside the house. Full kitchen and cooking access. It's a large, well-stocked kitchen (stove with full-sized oven, full-sized refrigerator, toaster oven, coffee maker, tea kettle, large pantry, pots, pans, utensils, cleaning supplies, etc.). If there's something you need, please just let me know. The washer and dryer are in a laundry closet/pantry right in the kitchen. Guest access Guests have a separate entrance to the apartment and the run of the apartment. They may also use the patio and fenced in yard, but it is a shared space. Other things to note Prior to booking, guests are provided with a copy of all the house rules. For stays of more than 2 weeks, guests are also asked to sign a rental agreement. 2nd guests are only permitted with prior written approval and for an additional nightly fee. Pets are considered on a case by case basis, and only with written approval, sometimes with additional fees. Beyond that, I ask for common consideration and care of the premises, and for others living in the house and neighborhood. No parties, no loud music or noise, no extra guests or visitors. Guests should know that there is no daily linen or cleaning service. A biweekly cleaning service is included during longer stays of more than 2 weeks, but I request that my guests maintain a basic level of cleanliness and order. Please make sure trash is properly disposed of, no dirty dishes left in the sink to attract pests, etc. Also, please no street or hard-soled shoes in the apartment to avoid tracking dirt and for noise control. No aerobic exercise or heavy exercise equipment is permitted in the apartment.
