Quiet, Private Little House in the Big Pines
Adorable one-bedroom home set among tall pine trees in a quiet setting located on a private dead-end dirt road. This little house offers all you need for a weekend retreat or an extended stay. Perfect for traveling medical professionals, as the house is within commuting distance to hospitals in Farmington & Lewiston. Access local snowmobile trails and the ITS directly from the house. The space This adorable home offers a galley-style kitchen with a dishwasher, a bedroom with a comfortable queen-sized bed, and a living/dining area with a vaulted ceiling, a beautiful working stone fireplace, and huge windows that look out onto the surrounding woods and front yard. You will feel a part of nature even when in the house. The many windows offer great natural light. Watch chickadees, tufted titmouse, and dark-eyed juncos fluttering about the rhododendrons in the yard, bald eagles and turkey vultures soaring overhead, and listen to nighttime owl calls and the cry of the loon on Long Pond. Deer are sometimes spotted in the yard, and on at least one occasion, a moose. The house makes a wonderful, peaceful retreat to enjoy nature or as a jumping-off point to nearby attractions. Snowmobile, cross-country ski, or ice skate on the lake! Guest access Guests have access to the entire home and can park in the two-car garage. Other things to note The garage/driveway for the house is 75-100 feet away from the front door, so please be prepared for a short walk along a path to get to the house. The house is located on a private, dead-end, dirt road. At certain times of year, the road may be muddy or icy, but is always maintained, plowed and sanded, and always passable with a regular passenger vehicle. Please drive slowly, as the speed limit is 15 mph.
