Newly available December dates discounted for short notice! Large luxurious home. Peaceful, quiet, private. Great for families/groups/couples. Comfy beds! Hot tub. Fully equipped gourmet kitchen. Mountain vistas, dark skies, large site next to wilderness preserve. Stargazing is amazing! 20 min. to plaza. Ski Santa Fe is 30 mi away & north of town. Great hiking, biking, & fishing nearby. Casa De Las Estrellas is a safe place to vacation and relax. All guests are welcome and respected. The space Stargazing ✔️ Luxurious home✔️ Room to spread out✔️ Fully Equipped Gourmet Kitchen✔️ Comfy Beds✔️ Outdoor HotTub✔️ Games, Books, Puzzles✔️ Skiing, Hiking, Biking, Fishing✔️ 5 Fireplaces❗️ We don’t call it Casa De Las Estrellas for nothing. The stargazing here is truly out of this world. Winter, with its cold clear skies, is the BEST (if a bit nippy) time for star gazing. The clear, dark skies and amazing location are perfect for enjoying the heavens above. For your own stargazing experience, you are welcome to use the concrete observation pad located to the east of the casita. We can provide you with some lighter-weight chairs and tables to move to the pad. Bring your own scope or use the portable telescope provided for your use. There is power at the pad should you need it for any of your equipment. See the Milky Way as you've never seen it before- clear moonless nights reveal the Milky Way from horizon to horizon! Be sure to check your lunar calendar for new moon nights for the best viewing. Bright moonlight tends to wash out the Milky Way. We want you to make yourselves comfortable in our home. We love it and we love Santa Fe and are happy to share both with you. There is plenty of room to have groups of up to 9. There is an additional charge of $25 per person per day after the 4th guest. We are permitted for 6 people over the age of 5. The 3000+ SF of living space and 3 bedrooms give you plenty of room to spread out. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and walk-in closet. The master bed is a king-sized Sleep Number bed with dual controls. The queen-sized bed is also a Sleep Number bed with dual controls. Both the king and queen beds feature dual control heated mattress pads. In the last bedroom you will find two regular-sized twin beds and one extra-long twin bed. There are 5 (!) fireplaces, including one outdoors and one in the master bedroom. It’s always fun to toast marshmallows in the outdoor fireplace! The TV room has a powered double reclining loveseat, powered reclining lift chair, a rocking chair, a TV with Direct TV (with HBO and Showtime) and Chrome Cast, as well as a large DVD library of our favorite movies. There is a whole house (indoor common areas/outdoor) stereo system. Do you like to bake or cook? While baking at high altitudes can sometimes be a bit of a challenge, this kitchen is ready for you! The Casa has a big, fully equipped gourmet kitchen with a double oven and just about any small appliance you might want, along with all the pans and equipment you might need. Also in the kitchen, you'll find a 12 c coffee maker, an electric water kettle, and New Mexico Piñon Coffee (a local favorite) for you to start your day. Ideally located for enjoying outdoor activities. Lots of hiking and biking trails nearby and throughout Santa Fe. Great fly fishing on the Pecos River is just a short drive away. Winter skiing at Ski Santa Fe is just north of town. During the spring, summer, and fall the main portal (that's New Mexican for patio) is the place to be with its spectacular view of the mountains. It's easy to spend your leisure time at the outdoor table in comfortable chairs enjoying the exceptional climate and beautiful view. In the winter, the large dining table with its super comfy upholstered chairs is the place to gather- especially if you light a fire in the fireplace to keep you warm and cozy. Speaking of leisure, we also have a good number of board games for all ages, and a variety of jigsaw puzzles for some good old-fashioned family fun time. There is also a selection of kid books for different ages as well as a library of books for the grownups. There’s also a box of LEGOs for older kids and a box of Thomas the Train wooden trains for the younger ones. We work from home and live on the property. Your space is the main house and a completely separate building. We do use the office in the garage. Your privacy is very important to us and while we might come over to say hello, we will not intrude on your time at the Casa. We are alway available by phone or text should need us, or you can just knock on our door. STR 23-6086 Guest access The casita, garage, garage office, and wine room are not included in the rental. You can, of course, access the garage for trash and recycling disposal. We work in the garage office and store out of season and personal items in the garage, so you may hear us come and go. If you need to store your bikes, we can, of course, make room for them. Other things to note There are no security cameras inside the house. There is a Ring Doorbell with a camera at the front door that is motion activated. We can turn off the motion activation at your request. There is a bird feeder with a motion activated camera attached to a tree outside the walled hot tub patio. The camera faces away from the patio and does not view that patio at all. We love children, but this house is not baby-proofed. There is a hot tub that can be accessed by children. There are breakables down low and cleaners under sinks. There are hanging cords on all the blinds that are a hazard for young children. You are responsible for monitoring your children and their safety and are responsible for any damage they, or you, cause. Friendly, well-behaved dogs are now allowed at the Casa. We have a gated and walled front courtyard. The wall is not tall and good jumpers could get out. Tiny puppers could sneak out through or under the gate. Please do not leave your doggies out at night or alone outside during the day. Unattended doggos can attract predators. Be sure to keep an eye on your floofers! Also, all doors, except for the front door, are very narrow. Sadly, wheelchairs won't fit through these doors.
