Giovani Roca, who married into the Gianelli family in the late 1800's purchased the site for a working cattle ranch, gold mining camp, and a major stagecoach stop for supplies coming into Jamestown. In 1980 Ron Gianelli purchased the property from his family and created a piece of his Italian heritage right here in the Sierra Foothills. In 2003 the first vineyards were planted, now Gianelli Vineyards boasts a total of 18 estate grown varietals, some never before produced outside of Italy. The space The Gianelli House is located atop the vineyard with breathtaking views of Yosemite and the Sierra Foothills. It is situated at the top of an estate tasting room. The business is below the home and all guests will need to be respectful of the business. The hours are Thursday through Sunday from 1:00p-6:00p but can be as late as 8:00p on some evenings. This isn’t the best location for families with small children as this is an adult drinking destination. There is no area for playing and many cars are driving in and out of the tasting room parking area. We do not allow parties, events, pets, or smoking at this location. Guest access A Winery and tasting room is located on the property which is accessible to guests during business hours. Hours are Thursday- Sunday 1:00-6:00p and as late as 8:00p on some evenings. The tasting room is in the basement of the home and the parking is for tasting room guests. Two parking spots are dedicated to air bnb guests. Other things to note Parking is complimentary for the first two vehicles. Each car after that will be charged an additional $20/day. Host will not be available for response during the stay. If there are questions or concerns please contact the tasting room below during business hours. Thursday-Friday 1-6p. Early and late checkout may be available at $40 for two hours early and two hours late. Half day check in and out may also be available at $80 for four hours early and four hours late.
