Comfortable cheerful room in walk out basement is available to awesome laid back female renters. We are a quick drive from Indianapolis and Carmel. We have a beautiful backyard with a dock on a pond. We prioritize organic, healthy living and making our home a chemical free environment. We love making new friends and shared experiences! We have 4 wonderful kids and have a fun and lively first floor, your retreat will be in our full walk out basement! The space Hi, I’m Libby!! We love meeting new air bnb friends and sharing our home with laid back fun/kid loving guests! Your bedroom is located in our downstairs walkout basement. The linens in your room are all brand new. There are 3 windows in your bedroom that allow for plenty of light, we have light blocking curtains hung to ensure you can also have darkness when desired. Nearby the bedroom is a newly redecorated bathroom with towels, a toilet, storage, and shower with body sprays. There’s a full kitchen in the basement with fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, dishwasher and fully stocked to make your basic meals. We do share the fridge and freezer but can move our stuff around as needed! We are pretty laid back and truly want our guests to feel comfortable and at home during your stay with us. We have 4 children. Their ages are 11, 8, 6 and a baby (almost 2!) They are good kids! The baby does not cry at/through the night. The basement common areas (not your bedroom or bathroom) will be a shared space with my kids unless there are previous arrangements otherwise. There are many toys and there’s a bounce house in the basement. We’d be happy to host a mom/child(ren) crew! We will tidy these things up prior to your stay but if seeing kids items bothers you, our listing will not be a good fit! As we are opening up our family home, I will need to know a bit about you before I will approve a stay. We prefer renters who are able to provide a background check. My husband and I have also both had recent background checks which I’m happy to provide. Please keep in mind we live on the first floor with our 4 kids. Our home will appear lived in :) you will hear us. Please keep realistic expectations in mind of what a family home with 4 kids is like, and understand that it is not the same as a hotel stay. We keep quiet hours to the best of our ability but some noise is unavoidable! I try my best to get all kids down for the night by 8:30 during the school year. It’s a bit later on weekends and during the summer. If you need quiet at a particular time/days etc. I will try my very best to accommodate that, and we can go to the park or on a walk as needed, please just let me know prior to booking if you feel there will be times you’ll need us as quiet as possible. Guest access You will have access to the basement: the bedroom, the bathroom, the kitchen, common living space including big screen TV, fireplace, toys, and a work out room. To use the work out room you must sign a liability waiver. If you request specific hours that our kids not access the basement we will respect that as agreed upon in advance. Otherwise our kids may use the basement to play in when they are home. During your stay We will socialize when we are home as desired :) our guests may join us for meals upon invitation. If you prefer privacy we will respect that. Other things to note We have 3 cats we keep upstairs. We also adopted our “Covid pup”, a friendly Pomsky named Miska. We make sure she also adheres to quiet hours and is crate trained. If you don’t love animals or at least like them we probably aren’t a good fit.
