Our beautiful mountain home can become your home for vacation while we are away. Built in 1880 in the quaint historic mining town of Silver Plume, the house has been updated and added on to. Come relax and explore in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. The space The house and the location create a homey respite from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Silver Plume is a quiet, charming historic mining town with dirt roads and a false-front "downtown". The house has many of the comforts of home in a studio-type space with full bath and kitchenette. Guest access You will have an entire half of the house to yourself while we live in Illinois for the summer. Enter on the East side of house, or lookers right. There is a loft-style bedroom (short staircase, no ladder) with a great view and overlooking the full living area, a full bathroom with walk-in shower, and a kitchenette. The living area has a large window sofa, which an extra guest or child could sleep on. The kitchenette is minimalistic but sufficient to make an easy meal. Easy I-70 access to world-class skiing, hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, zip-lining, the Georgetown Loop railroad, wildlife, museums, parks, shopping, restaurants and history. Other things to note The suite is on the East side of the house (or looker’s right from the road). It has its own entrance, and is locked off from the rest of the house.
