Guests in late December, January and February (weather permitting) will have full access to a brand new 8'x12' permanent fish house, complete with heat, 12v battery and 110v generator power, rattle reels, hole lights, 32" HDTV and bluetooth audio. The fish house will be on the ice in front of the cabin, an easy 150-200 yard walk from shore. Other things to note We have small children, so there is a small temporary wire fence up to prevent children from accessing the water with gates out to the dock and to the rear of the home. If you have a small child you can rest easy knowing they are protected from wandering into the lake. Two VERY important issues: the lake typically gets fairly green with algae in August. It's not harmful (and the water is warm!) but, especially if it gets hot and calm, the swimming area may not be usable directly in front of the cabin. We usually just take the boat out to the deeper water to jump off and swim. Also, we have 2 dogs. While the house will be professionally cleaned for you, it's impossible to remove all traces, so you may want to reconsider staying with us if you have severe allergies.
