The space This home is located in a historic cotton gin house, built in the late 1800’s, just north of Hallettsville’s downtown square. The home has been in our family for decades. My husband and I purchased the home in 2010 and renovated and restored it to it’s original state. We also carry a variety of retail items including specialty coffee, gourmet spices, rubs, salsas, artisan candles, and other gift items. (Please note, some gift items displayed express language that may be offensive to some and could be considered inappropriate for small children). There is a resident cat on the premises. The cat is friendly and fully vaccinated. Her name is “Kitty”. Interact at your own risk. Guest access Guests are welcome to park on the North or south side of the property. There’s a large parking lot on the South side for bigger vehicles/trailers. We host a food truck on premises. Customers dining in are allowed to access the backyard outdoor space for their dining needs. When in operation the outdoor space is shared. We occasionally host live music on premises. Other things to note Although fully renovated, this is an older home. In the winter some areas of the home are colder than others. Although the home has central AC/heating the 12ft ceilings make it difficult to provide a comfortable temperature at times. We manage by providing necessary heating options. In addition, much of the home is decorated with vintage/antique finds. We don’t mind you reminiscing, but please do not allow small children to touch. There is a very steep stairwell in the home. Access is limited to upstairs bedrooms in most cases, but available. Although renovated, this home may not provide the modern amenities available in most hotels. Lighting is subtle, electrical outlets are limited. Please plan accordingly.
