Begin your Vermont experience at our serenely secluded, wooded hide–a-way. This inviting private home features all the best amenities including luxury linens, fully equipped kitchen, bath with custom over sized shower, a beautiful deck with gas grill, teak and glass dining table, and lounge seating for 4. It is the perfect space for 2 adults and children, or up to 4 adults, providing easy access to the best Vermont has to offer from Lake Champlain, Vergennes, Middlebury, and all points beyond. The space Greeting, and welcome to The Cottage! The open first floor plan at The Cottage offers generous sitting space for reading, TV and bird watching and of course, napping. The kitchen is well equipped with china, glassware, pots/pans, and utensils of every description. A microwave, and Keurig pod coffeemaker as well as a traditional Cuisinart drip coffeemaker is supplied for added convenience. Off the main living space, is an oversized bedroom with king size bed and walk-in closet. The first floor also includes a full bathroom with an expansive walk-in shower, hotel style towels and washcloths, designer soaps, conditioners and lotions as well as a full-size, stacked washer and dryer. Upstairs boasts an ample loft with a Queen pullout sofa. Also provided, a Cybek treadmill, yoga mats and free weights, should you want to get in a quick indoor workout. The out of doors offers a large deck and propane gas grill for the vacationing Grill Master (summer only)! We are located just a short 3 miles from Basin Harbor Club Resort, where you can enjoy a round of golf, relax in the spa, enjoy a lovely dinner in the historic dining room, or whoop it up at the famous Red Mill (The Basin Harbor is a seasonal resort, open only in the summer till late Fall). Additionally, the surrounding areas of Middlebury and Vergennes offer several mouthwatering dining options for your added pleasure. Button Bay is just up the way for the outdoor enthusiast (it too is seasonal). A leisurely excursion to Burlington is but a short distance away. Whether you are looking to retreat to the privacy of our secluded location, or explore seasonal Vermont activities such as biking, hiking, kayaking or bird watching, we provide a most charming spot created for your perfect stay. Did we mention private parking too! Guest access The guest house is located adjacent to our home by a meadow and is a totally separate dwelling with private parking. The meadow is yours for dog walking and outdoor activities. We are available to answer any questions and help guide you should you need. We will check with you to ensure that you have everything you need and can find your way. Check in time is 4pm and check out is 11am. We can be flexible depending on availability. Should we be away, our daughter Meghan is a short distance and is available for any questions or needs in our absence. Other things to note Please be aware that you may want to bring a few food necessities with you such as breakfast foods, milk and half and half. We do supply a small amount of coffee pods for the Keurig and Carnation instant creamer but not enough for an extended stay. Laundry soap and conditioner sheets are provided. Also as we are in the woods, mosquito spray might be a good thing!
