We are a boutique hotel in the beautiful & majestic mountain town of Leadville, Colorado. Take a step back in time and stay in one of our five private rooms at this grandly kept 1880's Victorian home. We boast a downtown location & the laid-back communal, family vibe that you've come to expect from the owners of the Co Trail House. Stay with us & the outdoor adventurer in you will get a taste of living in a wild west, Victorian era. The space This room has definitely got the wow factor! Ideal for those who want a mountain getaway for a special occasion or for those who prefer to stay in accommodations that have character and a story to tell! The Parlour is on the ground floor of the house. It's a spacious room and includes a king size bed and renovated private bathroom (the shower is not accessible - it is a shower over tub). Curl up and enjoy a glass of wine and a good book, or great conversation with a friend by your personal gas fireplace. The room is full of quirky and historical knick-knacks and at the moment it has a desk and chair as well. Why the name?? Originally, this room was dedicated as the ladies parlour and we're sure the ceiling to floor wood panelled walls are holding some well kept secrets. This room is positioned on the East side of the house and is quiet most of the time. This room is very close to the front entry door so you may hear people coming and going. At times you may hear some noise from the communal spaces and also some noise carries from the host apartment upstairs but overall this is a quiet and private room. There is high speed wifi available throughout the house. There is no TV in the room. The guesthouse has a communal style approach to accommodation. You can retreat to the privacy of your room or hang out in one of the common areas and meet and mingle with other guests. With our downtown location you can mix with like-minded outdoor enthusiasts and have a unique taste of what it's like to live like a Leadville local. You can use the outdoor facilities including the hot tub and fireplace and Indoors, the kitchen, living room & dining room are all communal spaces. Built in the 1880's and home to many prominent Leadvillians, this house is full of character and history. Although meticulously maintained over the years, the house is old and has it's creaks and its squeaks. But as always our goal is to provide you with a clean, warm and friendly place to stay. If you like the outdoors, meeting new folks and love everything that Leadville has to offer, this is the place for you! Please note there is no air conditioning in the room. Guest access The Majestic is a hostel style guesthouse, similar to our other property the Colorado Trail House on 8th Street. Guests access the house via an electronically locked front door. You are given your own unique code prior to checking in and you may come and go as you please. All rooms have their own individual room keys. Guests may access all communal aspects of the house including the kitchen, dining room, living room, and outdoor areas. The rooms are private, however we ask you to respect the other guests in the house and keep noise down after 10pm. During your stay The hosts live on site and will try and greet you on arrival and show you around the property but our standard is to provide you with a self check-in process. We are around most of the time, or our co-host will be at the house and quite often our 12 and 8 year old will check you in! But if you have any problems on arrival and we are not around there is a sign at the entry door with instructions, as well as our contact phone numbers. Please don't hesitate to contact us. There are 5 guest rooms in total (3 downstairs and 2 upstairs), as well as the host's quarters upstairs, and it can accommodate up to 15 guests at any one time so you may find yourself in a big house on your own or if we have a full house (which is often the case, especially around event times) you may find the house full of a whole bunch of people, probably like-minded and often visiting Leadville to do the same thing you are. Parties are not allowed and no extra guests allowed without prior approval. Other things to note We love sharing our town and all it has to offer with people from all walks of life. We ask that anyone who is unwell to cancel or reschedule their visit for a later time. We have 5 guest rooms at The Majestic.
